Hey Phill, I would like to ask if you are related to Manfredo? I first saw Manfredo when I was thirteen at the Mill Run Theater in Chicago in 1966. He was playing with Sergio, and Manfredos band ( Bass’s Rio ) was the opening act … And then in the 80’s I went into the Embassy Suites lounge on 494 in Minneapolis and heard a pianist playing Night and Day coming from a sunken living room setting and immediately went to see where this beautiful music was coming from. It was Manfredo, and I was able to chat with him and his wife about me seeing him in Chicago when I was just a young lad. I am a now a professional pianist also and I owe much of my musical understanding to being raised on Portuguese/ Brazilian music! You sound amazing Phill! Keep on keepin on! Best, Daniel L Leahy
I doubt Phill will see your comment here, and the link to his website seems to have expired. However, here is his Facebook URL: https://www.facebook.com/phillfest.
